No more pain!
When Sharon Eisenshank’s knee pain started interfering with her and her husband’s weekend motorcycle trips, she knew she had to do something.
“My husband and I loved taking long road trips ... 500 to 700 miles,” said Sharon, 58, of Laurel, Ind., “but my right knee was hurting so much that the trips just weren’t fun. Everyday tasks were difficult. I had a lot of pain and constantly felt tired.”
After meeting with Dr. Thomas Carothers of Tristate Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, she soon scheduled surgery at MMCH to receive a new, long-lasting knee using Verilast technology. During the months following her surgery, she completed her rehab with MMCH’s physical therapists and was back on her motorcycle in no time.
“My quality of life has improved so much,” said Sharon. “My husband and I ride every weekend. We love to head south to North Carolina or Tennessee. I’m no longer limited by my knee pain, and it’s reassuring to know my new knee should last up to 30 years.”
