Personal Biography


Dr. Jeffery Stambough graduated with honors (Alpha Omega Alpha) from the West Virginia University School of Medicine. He is a board-certified, fellowship trained spinal and reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Stambough is the only spine surgeon in Ohio with sub-specialty Board Certification in Spine Surgery. His specialty training in orthopaedic surgery was completed at the University of Pennsylvania. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Stambough was selected for an exclusive fellowship in adult spinal reconstructive surgery at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Stambough’s experience and career spans over twenty-five years. He has had extensive clinical experience in orthopaedic and reconstructive surgeries: six years of experience in complex orthopaedic trauma cases, over 1,000 total hip replacements and total knee replacement surgeries, over 5,000 spinal procedures and multiple new and up-to-date orthopaedic surgeries. Patients seek appointments for his evaluation, diagnosis, and surgical care from all over the tri-state area. Dr. Stambough has been doing minimally invasive surgeries of the spine and total joint replacement for several decades. Dr. Stambough is actively involved in many ongoing updates and improvements in orthopaedic care and surgery with the goal(s) of offering continuous superior and appropriate orthopaedic surgeries with consistent outcomes. Dr. Stambough is an editor for all the major spine peer review journals.

As a member of several education and research societies, Dr. Stambough was elected to the American Orthopaedic Association, one of the oldest and most prestigious associations that are comprised of only 400 bone and joint surgeons. He has published over 150 peer review articles and book chapters. Dr. Stambough acted in the capacity of President of Medical Staff at Deaconess Hospital from 2001-2003. Dr. Stambough is committed and involved in the Greater Cincinnati Community.
